Discord Commands

Quick Start

  • Step 1 - Sign up @ https://dash.chatsight.ai, and add a payment card.
  • Step 2 - Navigate to the Discord Manager, and click Add to Server.
  • Step 3 - Authorize Chatsight to install a bot on your server. Keep permissions as they are currently set.
  • Step 4 - Run /chatsight register on your server, and receive a signup token.
  • Step 5 - Redeem that with the Discord Manager, and you're good to go!

Important Pitfalls/Notices

  • Chatsight for Discord is billed at a lower rate than direct API access. If you are using both the HTTP API, and the Bot - you will see two usage counters instead of one.

  • You must select the subcommand on commands that offer them. Then when you are finished writing the command, hit Tab to laminate the command. (This is on Discord, not us, we hope they are very sorry).

  • You cannot just copy and paste commands that include subcommands, as Discord needs you to physically click which optional subcommand you wish to use.

  • Pay attention to white space, (i.e. spaces) - leaving a space between the subcommand and the value you want to set it to will return an error unless you hit Tab.

  • You cannot use any command other than /chatsight register unless you authorize and have a payment method added to your account on the dashboard.

Command Structure

/chatsight <Sub Command Group> <Sub Command> <Command Argument>:<Input Value>

% Sub Command Group => The top level command, like: stats, settings and words.
% Sub Command => The nested selector, like: allow, block, set.
% Command Argument => The specific command argument (discord will display what is available for any command).
